”LA’s Best kept secret.: As a California local, Mexican food is a staple to me. Some have apple pie, others Lobster, etc… Here in LA though Mexican food is common, though good Mexican is still difficult to find. Joselito’s, however, has gotten it right in every way. The food is authentic, savory, and presented beautifully. All this for less than a trip to Outback or Chili’s. Food, is not the only basis for my comparison though. As a Mexican restaurant, you MUST be capable of making a decent Margarita. This is another point that Joselito’s West excells at. As a regular patron of El Cholo in Pasadena, I have come to expect great things from margaritas. I have not been let down yet by Joselito’s staff. Their Cadillac Margarita is top notch, and I don’t have to deal with the drive, or price of El Cholo now, while getting better food, and more intimate atmosphere. “I don’t eat meat, so sometimes it’s hard to find places to eat at…. But I think I found a new place last night so many choices. veggie tacos, veggie tostadas, cheese enchiladas, quesdillas, Veggie Fajitas. The best part is all the different sauces the server was telling me about. So I can try new things all the time! last night I had the enchiladas suiza with just cheese instead of chicken. YUM. That’s some good sauce I can’t wait to try the others. Let me tell ya some mexican restaurants don’t know what to do with Vegetarians, I asked for Veggie fajitas at another place and they were confused!!! when I got them they had brocolli & carrots mixed in it too… what? it was like chinese stir fry!!LOL on the other hand my boyfriend had them last night no problem, they were on the menu! and beautiful too! OH, the BEANS HAVE NO LARD!!!! but they taste so good. The server mentioned that vegatarians shouldn’t get the rice though, something about chicken broth being used.
